This was a weekend of High 5's at our household...I don't know if I should start with the best or end with it???
Well most of you know Alex is a crazy wheeler-n-dealer, but this weekend had to be one of his best. It was the REI garage-sale, which is where they sell merchandise that had been returned for a variety of reasons (because REI has a lifetime warranty). We braved the mountain storm and headed to Denver early, waited in line for an hour and then shopped! Alex deserves a high 5 because he always amazes me at the way the universe works for him and grants him the things he needs, I mean WANTS, in life for an amazing steal and I seem to benefit too. So this weekend he got a new bigger rocket box for the car (to hold all the baby stuff) for $150. He got a new $650 bike for $250. And best of all, he found me the snowboots I have been drooling over for $50 (retail $150:)! We also got an adorable fleece bunting for the babe for sledding next year!!!! So high five to Alex!!!
(PS-Alex's goal is to outfit this baby for 75% less, and we have been doing great with finding ways to make this happen, whether it be on craigslist, borrowing from friends, or just taking advantage of amazing sales-Reduce, Reuse, Recycle:) More on this another time.
OK onto the best high five of the weekend....baby high fives or high butts or high knees, I don't quite know. Last night in bed I felt a particular strong jab in the upper right belly-when I went to touch it I noticed I could feel a small hard something, when I pushed on it, it pushed back. Gummi Bear and I passed high fives back and forth about five times. It was way cool!
We hope you had a high five weekend whereever you are!
