We just returned from a fabulous trip "home" (for me) to NH. We didn't have any plans besides hanging at the lake. Rio loved the lake, walking right in at first introduction:) He has no fear! He loved splashing around, watching boats and ducks, and digging in the dirt. My parents had a great time watching their grandson in delight! And I had an even better time, because it was sweetened by Rio being distracted enough to wean and not really notice :)
We went blueberry picking one fine morning, Rio ate whatever he could reach (ripe or not). Luckily the farm had a "sin donation" box, for those leaving with a fuller tummy than they arrived with;)

My favorite thing is feeling the wind in my hair while taking a boat ride. Rio had a bit of mixed feeling about Paus' Boat, but I know in time he will enjoy it as much as me.
Alex and I also got to head to "Downeast Maine" for a wonderful first weekend away from Rio to celebrate a dear friends' wedding. The location was near Acadia National Park, it was breathtaking and a wonderful gathering of people.
Lucky for us all, we get to do this again in three weeks! We have another wedding in VT and will leave Rio with Nana and Paus in NH again for a long weekend. We can't wait!
