A Dowey Christmas

We had such a great holiday season.  Rio still wasn't so "aware" of the special time of year, but we tried to spread the holiday cheer with him as much as possible...

This was the only Santa Rio would come within a few feet of...
 Baking Cookies...
Because Alex was not coming to NH with Rio and I we did an early Christmas morning the day we left....
Rio did great traveling with just me, I was a bit nervous-as we are still taking advantage of him being a lap child-but he is a big and squirmy lap child.  At the airport he told anyone that made eye-contact with him that we were going "up-up"....
Rio met his cousin Bergen for the first time.  He liked her as long as I wasn't holding her:)  BUt he was very interested in the "Nene" (translation: baby)
The lake wasn't frozen over, so Rio thought he could go in like he did this summer, we had to hold him back. And just have fun throwing rocks and ice into the lake.
 Baking challah with Auntie Heather..
Rio was mesmerized by the Christmas tree, luckily Nana decorated accordingly with soft ornaments on the bottom...
Rio enjoyed helping pass out presents and watching Great-Grandma open her presents...
Uncle Ian was an elf who brought Rio an animated dinosaur, Rio couldn't figure out if it was alive...

Paus and Rio watching the plow on our white Christmas morning...
Santa brought Rio a rocking horse that made galloping and neigh sounds...
Bergen just watched the action all week...
 A little hot-tubbing action...
 Getting a little too close...
I tried to replicate a picture we have of me at this age trying to blowout an electric candle...
 Sledding...
Even though it is winter Rio can't stop talking about boats, so we gave him a ride...
 Four Generations of women...

We had a wonderful visit, but really missed Alex and all those near and far.  To a peaceful new year!
