My sewing machine has been my best friend lately, I would say I spend 4-5 hours a day sewing. With not working and a lot of snow on the ground, I have been spending lots of time with Maria (my machine:) I found a great local non-profit to lend my sewing skills to-The Bag Ladies. We take donated material and turn it into all sorts of bags and sell it at 100% profit for the Family and Intercultural Resource Center. I have met with the group twice and been able to make about 10 bags; 5 wine bags and 5 crayon bags for kids. I also was able to spend some time in the store last week-in one night we sold $250 worth of bags!!! Pictures below of my volunteered time.... But there are not pictures of what else I am sewing-lots of homemade holiday gifts:)
