My mother recently departed, after a wonderful 10 day visit. It was so amazing to have her here! Besides all the great meals she cooked and cleaning she accomplished, it was just so nice to be mothers together. I love and miss her dearly. While she was here we had a crazy mix of weather, from snow storms to 50 degree sunny days. We took a walk most days- the stroller was for the oxygen and I carried Rio.

On Mother's Day we were given beautiful cards from Rio (thanks Alex) and risked going out to a nice brunch in town-and it was successful-Rio slept the whole time.

A tradition on my mother's side of the family is that when a baby is born the women create a quilt for the babe. Rio's quilt (below) came out gorgeous and I know he will treasure it for a long time. The theme was leaves and the fabrics are all beautiful batiks.

Then to entertain ourselves, Mom and I had a mini photo-shoot with Rio. We wanted some pics without his O2 and his naked little body. Rio was quite the model.......

Isn't he just precious?
