We are all so excited to have been told Rio could be oxygen free as of this weekend. Having to be attached to a tank, sure has made the first month challenging....But we were still able to smile through it.
Alex and Rio are learning how to work together to get what they need. Alex creates new songs for Rio to dance to (even if Rio's not in the mood). MOby has adjusted very well-he checks on Rio whenever her cries and seems to be staying close to the house more.
I LOVE naked babies, but Rio does not like being naked. He also does not like being constrained in anyway shape or form (no swaddling, hates the car seat, and doesn't like my sling/wrap). I am hoping he outgrows this because we like to hold him tight.
Without the oxygen, he is a happy healthy guy! I have become a bit of a hypercondriac worrying about every little thing. Yet he has provided us things to worry about....green poop, a little blood in his spit-up, and a giant 3 inch long bloody booger (sorry if TMI). But all has proven to be fine and Rio is thriving and gaining weight-he is now 9 lbs 9 ounces!
We are looking forward to visits from my sister Heather and her fiance Jesse this coming weekend, and then Grandma and Grandpa Blank arrive next week.

Ha. Your comment about loving naked babies made me laugh. Too bad Rio won't oblige. He is getting big, though, and darn cute!
