4th of July Babymoon

We had a "babymoon" camping trip with our dear friends Kelley, Ross, Emerson, and Pierce over the fourth weekend.  It was a great time, only a little rain and a little sleep;)  We don't know if the excitement of camping, the sugar in the s'mores, or what caused Rio to bounce off the tent walls until

 10 pm the first night! But it was great to get out on our last adventure before the adventure of 4 begins!

 I enjoyed some baby time, snuggling with 5 month old Pierce.

This was a funny situation where Alex decided the boys had enough of playing with the giant, heavy, sharp shovel-so he placed it in a tree.  We could literally see the wheels turning in Rio's brain while he went and got the step ladder from the opposite side of the camp site and brought it over to the tree to reach for the shovel.  Of course Alex let him have it for being such a good "problem solver."
